Saturday with General Iceburg!

This weekend my daughter was the first student from 4J to be able to bring home their new class member, General Iceburg, who is visiting from Greys Creek Middle School, U.S.A.
It was very warm today as we all know, so we thought we’d better go down to Drouin, to my mums place for a swim. Nana Joy and Poppy Doug live 5km out of Drouin on a beef farm. On our way home we stopped and visited the old Steam Engine in the park at Yarragon, went and had a quick play at Apex Park in Moe, then because of the fires, drive the back way home to Traralgon, via Yallourn North and Tyers. We went up to the lookout at the top of Tyers to have a look at the Valley in which we live. Its very hazy today due to the smoke in the air. But we got photos of the Paper Mill where Mr Joyce works, the Power Station and Traralgon. We came home late, did some shopping and then it was KFC for dinner. I think we are all a bit tired now. So dvd-The Croods, then bed for us all πŸ™‚

Then finally home for some yummy KFC. What a big day we had today in the heat.

Hello 4J and Our Global friends especially Grays Creek Middle School. General Iceburg looks to be having an amazing time staying with Alex over the weekend. Take a look at all the great pictures and explanations of what they have been up and what Australia looks like. Today it was 40 degrees very very hot but it looks like Alex was looked after perfectly stay tuned for what Alex and General Iceburg get up to on Sunday.

  2. GREAT photos! A fabulous way for USA to learn about Australia. Do you have a Teddy visiting USA so you can learn from them???

    • Hi Mrs Price, knowing Mrs Joyce, id guarentee she would have posted this school a toy Koala or Kangaroo to visit with their students. We will just have to keep an eye out on her blog πŸ˜‰
