Snapshot Writing…

A snapshot creates a pictures in the reader’s mind. To write a snapshop, zoom in and study the sceneyou wan to recreate closely with your writing. Slow down your senses. Really observe the picture you are trying to recreate for your reader. What do you want your reader to see, hear, taste, smell or feel?
Look at the picture of New York City at night that is posted. And try and describe what you see. What can you hear in that busy city at night? Do you think there would be a smell in the air?
Remember to use description to try and hook your reader in to wanting to know more.
